Composition
Fibrous flocking is an insulator composed mainly of mineral wool, hydraulic and organic binders, this process is not only rotproof, it is resistant to rodents and also to parasites, fibrous flocking is a traditional material of grey or white colour.
This insulation is free of harmful products .
Use of the system
Fibrous flocking ensures and increases the fire resistance of the load-bearing systems and components forming the fire compartment, must be fixed in such a way as to guarantee the safety of persons and fire-fighting, and to prevent the spread of fires to other fire compartments during the defined period of time.
We can apply it to the following substrates:
- Concrete floors and structures
- Joists and concrete and ceramic floors
- Concrete slabs with steel tanks collaborating
- Steel structures
Advantages
- Absorbs without cracking expansion
- Possibility to apply a finishing paint (RAL of your choice)
- Fast implementation
- Relatively light product weight
- Fire protection features
- Good thermal properties
- Corrects and improves acoustic correction
- Projection on flat or curved surfaces
AEAI Fire Protection Directive — Load-bearing systems and fire compartments / 15-15en
Refer to Table 1-2 and 3 according to the AIET version of 22 September 2016, depending on the height category.
Product feature
Unlike intumescent paint, sprayed plasters must not swell. The insulating effect of these plasters is 100% guaranteed from the beginning of the fire. For these systems, aesthetics is secondary as the coatings are usually covered later.
No request must be made to the competent authority provided that the chosen product is AEAI certified and installed according to the state of the art.
But it is better to make a request to the competent authorities.
Classification
Resistance R30 to R120.
