Composition
Thermal insulation in materials of type :
Synthetic rubber, rock wool, glass wool, etc...
Finishing coating:
PVC sheet, aluminium sheet, aluminium sheet, aluminium or stainless steel sheet.
Use of the system
Insulation of ventilation ducts often has to meet two requirements: fire protection and energy law.
Ventilation coating for thermal demand (energy saving) or for RF1, Ei30 or Ei60 fireproof coating.
Fire insulation prevents the passage of fire, heat and smoke into parts of buildings to ensure the safety of people, property and property in the event of a fire.
Advantages
- Clean finishing of ventilation networks
- Energy saving and better efficiency of technical installations
- Very good fire resistance depending on the choice of materials
- Very good thermal insulation according to the choice of materials
- Reinforcement of sound insulation according to the choice of materials
- Fast execution
AEAI Fire Protection Directive — Air conditioning systems / 25-15en
3.7.4 Thermal insulation layers
The thermal insulation layers of the ventilation ducts must be made of RF1 materials in the horizontal and vertical ducts. In other cases, they must be made of at least RF3 materials. If building materials with a critical reaction (according to the table of correspondences in the Fire Protection Directive "Building Materials and Components") are used for thermal insulation layers, they must be coated without a cavity with an envelope of at least 0.5 mm thick made of RF1 building materials.
Classification
The thermal insulation layers are classified in fire resistance classes RF3 (4.1) to RF1 (6.3).
